Gang of vehicle lifters busted, 5 arrested

Police today claimed to have busted an inter state gang of vehicle lifters with the arrest of five persons and seized five stolen cars from their possession here.
Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted a car and arrested Arif, Sovi, Asif, Firoz and Aurangzeb yesterday, SP (city) Rajesh Kumar said.
While Arif and Sovi hail from Delhi, Asif belongs to Kakroli, and Firoz and Aurangzeb are from Muzaffarnagar, he said.
Five stolen carswere recovered from their possession, police said.
Kumar added that the gang was active in Delhi, Gaziabad, Meerut and Muzaffarnagar.
