During the event, Garner, 44, was honoured with the Baby2Baby Giving Tree Award for her ongoing dedication to children in need around the world, reported Entertainment Tonight.
"My mom grew up dirt poor with 10 siblings, no running water and no electricity in dustbowl depression in Oklahoma. I grew up one generation, one holler away from poverty," Garner said during her acceptance speech.
"If you tell the world that we are gathering here tonight all dressed up like prom... They might think we're crazy. But the truth is, I've seen this message in action. The tiniest thing can tip the balance from past hope to chance," she added.
Other celebrities who attended the annual charity included Miranda Kerr, Rachel Bilson, Kelly Rowland, Dax Shepard, Kristen Bell, Camila Alves, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Wiz Khalifa, Stevie Wonder, Jaime King and Selma Blair.
The star-studded event brought in a whopping USD 3 million for the charity, which distributes diapers, clothing and other basic necessities to low income children.
