After completing 30 days in power, Gujarat CM Anandi Patel floated the concept of 'Gatishil Gujarat' on June 23 and promised to complete several projects and developmental works within 100 days, claimed Gujarat state government spokesperson Nitin Patel.
"Today, when 100 days are over, I am pleased to announce that we have surpassed the target and achieved 139 per cent success by completing 51 developmental projects under 11 major subjects, such as women empowerment, E-governance and urban development," Nitin Patel said addressing a press conference.
The 'Swachh Bharat' mission has also been included in the extended edition of the 'Gatishil Gujarat' drive, which would end on March 31, 2015, he said.
"We have now set a target for 150 days to complete various projects under 18 broad categories, such as giving tablets to 15,000 industrial training institute students under the self-reliance mission, building 3 lakh new toilets under the Swachh Bharat mission, giving 1 lakh electricity connections to farmers and many more," Nitin Patel said.
