Cheteshwar Pujara today gave full credit to his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammates, Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers for helping him to do a good job in Test matches as well.
"It is great to share dressing room with AB and Gayle. I have been learning a lot from them. AB is one of them who has been guiding me since last year, which has helped in Test format as well," Pujara said.
"Even Chris has been helping me. Whenever there is something wrong with my batting, Chris has always come to me to sort out wrongs," he added.
Pujara, who has the distinction of scoring three triple-centuries within a month of domestic first-class cricket, said minor adjustments are required to play Twenty20 but the basic technique remains the same.
"You have to be innovative. In T20 format the team gets to play 120 balls and hence you have to be calculative and play according to situations," Pujara said on the sidelines of an event here.
Pujara, who made his first double hundred against England at Ahmedabad in November 2012 and followed up with another double century against Australia in March 2013, said scoring heavily in Test matches has helped him gain in confidence.
"I have improved. I started off well this season by making half century for RCB in my very first game. That gave me confidence and hope to continue doing the good work," he said.
