GCA will be writing to Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) not to derecognise the cricketing body in the larger interest of the game, its acting president Dr Shekhar Salkar told PTI.
"The recent managing committee meeting has taken away functioning powers of Phadke. He can't chair the meetings and can't even attend BCCI meetings," Salkar said.
The managing committee resolution dated September 3 is on lines with the Justice Pendse Commission recommendations, he said.
Salkar said the managing committee will meet again soon to decide on this issue.

The GCA managing committee has already written to the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) informing it about the resolution which has taken away powers of Phadke to chair any meeting or represent the body before them.
Meanwhile, Phadke has asked for 15-day time from the SAG to reply to the (derecognition) notice.
SAG executive director Sandip Jacques, confirming receipt of letter from Phadke, said the request is being processed.
