"The authority will spend 30 lakh rupees to ease out traffic congestions by installing traffic signals and marking stop lines and zebra crossings on the roads for safety of pedestrians," GDA secretary Ravindra Godbole said.
He said that various road intersections, trisections at Mohan Nagar, Vasundhara, Hapur Chungi, Atma Ram Steels, UP Gate, ABES college, Chijarsi village, CISF Indirapuram, Dabur and Santosh Medical have been earmarked for affixing traffic signage on the roads.
"Solar powered traffic blinkers will be erected on city roads at a cost of rupees 40 lakhs. The whole amount will be spent from 'infrastructure fund'," he added.
