Gehlot shot off a letter to Foreign Minister S M Krishna yesterday.
Mehdi is undergoing treatment in Karachi for severe chest and urine infection and his family wants to bring him to India.
The chief minister had on April 25 written a letter to Krishna for visa to Mehdi and his family members.
"After two days of writing the letter, Gehlot was informed that apart from Hasan, his son, daughter-in-law and one medical attendant had been provided medical visa as an exception for coming to India," a spokesperson said here.
"Now they require visa for two more persons to look after him so the Chief Minister has again written a letter yesterday," he said.
Gehlot received information about the serious condition of Mehdi from his son yesterday and requirement of visa for two more persons so he has requested to the foreign minister for the same, he said.
