Speaking at the launch of Congress Sandesh Yatra at the party office here, Gehlot said that allegations were also levelled against him 32 years back when he was MP but they turned out to be baseless.
"BJP leaders are levelling allegations that I have flat in Mumbai, a five-star hotel in son's name but such allegations had also been levelled 32 years back when I was elected as MP. I challenge that they can prove such baseless allegation," Gehlot said.
"The government's financial management is robust and we presented surplus budget. Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia appreciated the state budget," he said. Referring to BJP state chief Vasundhara's Yatra, which is scheduled next week, Gehlot said "BJP leader Ghanshyam Tiwari has rightly said that few looters are taking out yatra and will loot all the mineral resources of state."
"They (BJP) have already minted in the name of 90-B (land conversion) when they were in power and now they are after mineral resources," he added.
