Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should clarify if he fought the 2014 elections with black or white money.
"If he honestly says he used white money to contest the election, then whatever he says will be acceptable to us. If he did not use the white money in elections, then he should adopt five-point programme (suggested by Sonia Gandhi) to curb corruption," Gehlot said.
Gehlot said Congress president Sonia Gandhi had five years ago given a five-point programme to eradicate corruption and that should be adopted by the Prime minister instead of "tarnishing the image of the opposition".
"Political parties contest elections with the donation money and here is the beginning of corruption and black money. The system of corruption needs to be hit," he said.
The Prime Minister should talk to political parties and seek their help to end the problems peopel are facing in the wake of demonetisation, he said in Bhilwara.
