"Hum Tum", the production organised by Anish Singh, who is part of the organisation Chnagelooms With.In in association with the NGO Prithak. The ComMutiny, The Youth Collective and PACS (Poorest Areas of Civil Society) collaborated on the venture.
The drama held at the American Center last evening showcased a co-ed school scenario, where girls and boys get education in the same classroom but are made to sit separately.
There is a line of control which separates both the sexes and forces them to sit separately without their will to promote gender discrimination.
"I have observed that certain choices which are easily made by a particular gender may be difficult for the other one. We were trying to understand this issue and create awareness among the people through this play," Anish Singh said.
"As this is our first play we will try to host it in other schools and colleges and try to create awareness among youths," he said.
