The 41-year-old singer was left red-faced after her comeback single 'Half Of Me' failed to win over audiences in Australia, reported Contactmusic.
"As much as I'm afraid to look like a quitter, (because we all want to look like winners right?), I'm not afraid to say - I lost!," she said.
Halliwell, who had signed a new six-figure record deal with Sony Australia, said she had tried hard for the single to become a hit.
"I need to look back ... Remember who I am - where I've come from and dust myself off... I'm going to sing something that feels honest, just like home.
