Himayat Baig, convicted in Pune's German Bakery blast case, is going to contest from Aurangabad Loksabha constituency, a local political outfit said here.
Advocate Rahul Makre of the Bahujan Mukti Party made the announcement here today.
Makre alleged that Baig had been given a clean chit by the NIA but Maharashtra ATS falsely implicated him.
Thousands of Muslim youths were rotting in jails on false terror charges, advocate Makre claimed.
Baig had asked for Court's permission to file his nomination, he added.
