Hardeyesh Jindal, the father of the victim Aditi, while talking to reporters here, said "Baig had committed an inhuman offence which took the lives of 17 innocent people and he should be given capital punishment".
He said that his daughter Aditi, who was undergoing a fashion designing course in Pune, was present outside the German Bakery when the blast occurred.
The victim sustained 80 per cent burn injuries and died in the hospital at Pune on February 26, 2010.
"They should have contacted me as I am the father of the victim," he said, adding that the agency should arrest all the remaining accused of the case.
Himayat Baig, the lone arrested accused in the German Bakery blast case, was yesterday convicted by a sessions court for murder, criminal conspiracy and other charges, more than three years after a powerful explosion rocked the popular eatery, killing 17 and wounding 64, in the first terror attack in Pune.
