The winning of the new contracts for Amritsar Sewerage Project in Punjab further reinforces the company's growing presence in the subcontinent, and will help to consolidate its position in India, it said.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Frankfurt based Passavant Energy & Environment will undertake design and construction, including installing, testing, commissioning and 5-year operation of two sewage treatment plants each.
DSI has offices in Dubai, Egypt, Kuwait, Libya, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Qatar, Jordan and India, Thailand, as well as managing projects in Europe and other parts of North Africa.
"The water and wastewater treatment sector is currently witnessing a significant growth in India with the rise in demand for highly advanced wastewater treatment and waste to energy technologies.

Passavant Energy and Environment in Asia is currently working on two key projects of combined value of AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham) 50 million in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
