"The moment CBI questions the cops who fired at the peaceful protestors, whole truth will unfold and the buck will stop at Badal only", the PCC president said in a statement issued here.
He alleged that the whole incident had been conceived by the Badals with a clear motive of "controlled destabilisation" in the state to divert public attention from its "multiple failures" particularly those regarding farmers' agitation and the youth unrest.
Meanwhile, Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh today welcomed Sukhbir Badal's decision to hold a rally in Patiala on December 15, the day he will be taking over as the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee at a public rally in Bathinda.
"They could not have chosen a better day for Patiala as everybody in the town will be in festive spirit that day over my taking over and they (the Badals) are welcome to join the party", he said in a statement while taking a jibe at the Badals' decision to hold a rally there on the same day.
"Since Patiala is the home to me and my family for the last three hundred years, I welcome you all in our great tradition of hospitality every Patialavi and Punjabi is proud of", he said, adding, "more so, the day being the occasion of my taking over as the PCC president, I will be sending you 'ladoos' and flowers so that you don't feel left out".
