"A Finland based company Codenomicon visited GFSU and in-principle they agreed to support us in setting up a cyber security lab here for which they will sign an MoU with us," Director of Institute of Forensic Science in GFSU, M S Dahiya told PTI.
The company will sponsor the set ups for intelligence lab (cyber security lab) and has provided 85 protocols related to the vulnerability test analysis, Dahiya said.
According to Dahiya, the cyber security lab in GFSU will be the country's first most comprehensive and extensive lab which will provide a practical training to their students with various aspects of cyber offence and defence.
The students of GFSU will get practical session on the data theft, virus attacks, vulnerability analysis. GFSU has already prepared the data base of all the deadly viruses, he said.
The lab will provide service to corporates or public sector companies so that they can be able to detect the point of vulnerability, from where their servers or system can be attacked, and will fix it accordingly, he said.
