The river was flowing in high-flood situation at Darauli in Siwan district of Bihar at 0600hrs today, the Ministry of Water Resources said.
According to the ministry, it was flowing at a level of 61.24-m with a rising trend. Its level is 0.42-m above the danger mark of 60.82-m and 0.50-m lower than its previous highest flood level (HFL) of 61.74-m, recorded on August 29, 1998.
The toll in floods in Bihar has risen to 16 with fresh deaths reported in Nalanda and elsewhere in the state.
