Ghan Shyam Singh appointed Member (Traction) Railways

Ghan Shyam Singh, General Manager of Eastern Railway, was today appointed Member (Traction) in the Railways Ministry.
Singh is at present General Manager, Eastern Railway.
The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has approved his appointment to the post, an order issued by Personnel Ministry said, without giving details of the term.
Singh is an officer of Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE).
The Member (Traction) is responsible for all locomotives -- diesel and electric, besides supervising the work of fuel management, including all forms of conventional and non-conventional energy generation.
