MEA Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said government of Ghana has conveyed to India that the President will not be able to visit India and new dates for the visit will be worked out.
"We have received a communication from government of Ghana that due to pressing domestic developments, President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama will not be able to visit India," he said.
Akbaruddin said new dates for Mahama's visit will be worked out later.
As per reports, Mahama had yesterday sacked Deputy Communications Minister Victoria Hammah after local media obtained a tape in which she was purportedly heard saying that she would stay in politics only until she had made one million dollars.
