"Nepal Sadhbhawna Natya Aayojan" was inaugurated by the Minister of State, Culture and Tourism, Mahesh Sharma.
"Ghazab Teri Adaa", directed by NSD director Waman Kendre, is set in an imaginary time and place, revolves around the never ending aspiration for an expansion of kingdom. It began with a farewell address to the soldiers for the hundredth war.
Anothet NSD production "Bitter Fruit", directed by renowned dramatist Neelam Mansingh, was staged before the inauguration ceremony.
The play is an adaptation of well known Urdu writer Saadat Hasan Manto's short stories about the atrocities against women during the Partition.
Three theatre productions "Ghasiram Kotwal", "Julius Caesar" and "Chatuskone" will bring an end to the festival.
The funds collected through tickets and a donation box, placed at the venue, will be send to the Prime Minister relief fund.
