Keeping in mind past violent clashes between 'Kanwadias' and the public on roads, Sharma said that the district administration has decided to affix CCTV cameras at hidden places to keep a continuous vigil across the roads.
Affixation of posters and banners on road sides has also been banned and bushes across the roads will be trimmed to enhance the visibility, he said.
Ambulances equipped with medical aid and medicines will be stationed at every 500 meter, he added.
All SDMs, DY SPs, Police Station SHOs and administrative officers have been instructed to be on 24x7 vigil during the Kanwar Yatra days.
The Kanwar Yatra is annual pilgrimage of devotees of Shiva, to Hindu pilgrimage places of Haridwar, Gaumukh and Gangotri in Uttarakhand and Sultanganj in Bihar.
