According to Assistant Superintendent of Police Vipin Tada, who is the Nodal officer of the programme, during the programme police personnel will focus on violation of traffic rules, encroachments on the road by traders that causes traffic snarls, jumping of red lights by errant drivers, obstructive vehicle parking on busy roads.
Tada further said traffic congestion was the biggest problem in the district which was due to encroachments of road by shopkeepers and traders who showcase their goods for sale on the road sides.
Traffic police will also guide the vehicle owners to respect the right of pedestrians to have free movement on the 'Zebra crossings'.
