While Ghei, a three-time winner on the Asian tour, and Gangjee, a winner in 2004 but who has played on Web.Com Tour the last two seasons, and 15 others will play the Final Stage, four Indians will figure in the First Stage. The four include Rashid Khan and Honey Baisoya.
The 17 Indians who will play in the final stage straightaway include Ghei, Gangjee, Chiragh Kumar and Ajeetesh Sandhu. In the same bracket is the hugely talented Khalin Joshi, who is still an amateur.
Interestingly, three of the four players, who won a silver medal at the 2010 Asian games will feature in the Q-School. While Rashid begins with the First stage, Abhijit Chadha and Abhinav Lohan have got a place in the Final Stage.
The Indians in the Final Stage of the Q-School will be: Abhijit Chadha, Abhinav Lohan, Ajeetesh Sandhu, Amardeep Singh Malik, Arshpreet Thind, Chiragh Kumar, Deepinder Singh Kullar, Dipankar Kaushal, Gaurav Ghei, Gurbaaz P S Mann, KPS Sekhon, Khalin Joshi, Mandeo Singh Pathania, Pravin Jijaba Pathare, Rahil Gangjee, Randhir Singh Ghotra and Vikrant Chopra.
The four Indians in the first Stage are: Rashid Khan, Honey Baisoya, Peter Inbaraj and Roshan Sharan.
