Ghosal loses way after good start against Swiss rival

Saurav Ghosal crashed out of the men's CCI International JSW Squash Circuit tournament when he squandered a two-game lead in the quarter-finals, ending India's challenge in the event.
The Indian fourth seed, ranked 23rd on the PSA Circuit, was up 2-0 in the best-of-five clash against fifth- seeded Nicolas Mueller of Switzerland before losing his way and the quarter-final 2-3 in 80 minutes.
Ghosal's defeat ended the Indian challenge in the tournament after the elimination of wild card Vikram Malhotra and qualifier Mahesh Mangaonkar in the first round yesterday at the Cricket Club of India.
Results (Quarter finals):
(1) Fares Dessouky (EGY) beat (6) Alan Clyne (SCO) 11-7, 11-8, 4-11, 11-5; (3) Chris Simpson (ENG) beat Lucas Serme (FRA) 11-4, 11-6, 13-11; (5) Nicolas Mueller (SUI) beat (4) Saurav Ghosal (IND) 9-11, 12-14, 11-2, 11-9, 11-6.
