Prices of ginger declined in an otherwise lacklustre Spices market here today due to subdued demand from stockist and exporters.
While, black pepper and copra prices ruled steady in absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):
Black pepper (per kg) 660/740 (660/740), ginger bleached (per kg) 245 (250), ginger unbleached (per kg) 265 (270), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 8,500 (8,500), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 8,300 (8,300), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 16,500 (16,500), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 10,000 (10,000).
