Girl commits suicide in UP

A 24-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her room in Dakshin area here today, police said.
The deceased identified as Poonam Jain, whose marriage was scheduled on February 21, hanged herself in her room, they said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and efforts are on to ascertain the reason behind the suicide, they said.
