Girl dies in hostel roof collapse

A 15-year-old student of a government-run school for tribal girls was killed and five other boarders were injured when the roof of its hostel building collapsed at Gastingia in Kandhamal district today, official sources said.
The girl died on the spot while the injured were admitted to the public health centre at Tikabali.
Efforts were being made to shift two of the five injured to the MKCG Medical College Hospital at Berhampur, the sources said.
