The girl was found hanging from the ceiling fan of their rented room yesterday and her 4-year-old brother is missing since then, police said today.

In an FIR lodged today, the parents of the children, who were out to work at the time of the incident, alleged that their neighbour was involved in the murder and kidnapping, police said.

The neighbour is absconding and efforts are on to nab him, they said.

The girl's body has been sent for post mortem, they said.
