The incident took place this morning when the deceased Savita, who was living at her elder sister Babita's house for past one month, immolated herself and died on the spot, they said.
Later, Babita (25) also attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance, police said, adding, she has been admitted to the district hospital.
Police said that the reason behind the incident was not clear.
