Girl molested by teacher

A 13-year-old school girl was allegedly molested by a 48-year-old teacher of a private school in Tikhiri village in Odisha's Kendrapara district, police said today.
Cases under section-354 (outraging the modesty) of IPC and section-10 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 were registered against the teacher following a complaint lodged by the victim's mother yesterday, they said.
The incident, according to the FIR, occurred on August 7 when the victim had been to the teacher's house for tuition.
