The victim, Tejal Rajendra Gorde, was talking to her friend Pooja Jadhavrao in Fergusson College premises, when Pooja's brother Anmol Jadhavrao came there in a car and allgedly stabbed her with a knife on her stomach and shoulders, police said.
Tejal was rushed to the nearest hospital immediately, Chatushringi police sources said.
A case has been registered against Anmol under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code at the Chatushringi police station.
Police sub-inspector S K Sakhare is investigating the case. The reason behind the attack is still unknown, the police said.
