The five-piece girl group are set to embark on a huge arena tour in 2013 to mark their 10th anniversary - which took place this year - and rather than be intimidated by the size of the crowds they love it, reported BBC online.

"We actually did five shows the size of 'The O2' the last time we toured together, so the more the merrier. The big ones are the ones we love doing the most.

"Once you've got your show together you want to do it as many times as you can, because you've worked so hard to get it the best that it can possibly be," Walsh said speaking about their upcoming 'Ten -The Hits Tour'.

The five member band - which also includes Nicola Roberts, Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle and Sarah Harding, said their touring experience has completely changed since they first started their career in 2002 after being formed on TV talent show 'Popstars: The Rivals'.

In a joint interview on UK station BBC Radio 1, Walsh said, "When you think back to the first places we had to tour - it was hard."

Roberts said, "We did our own hair and make-up."

"One of the most poignant moments is when we won the Brit award, our album was doing amazing and we had the sell-out tour, we'd worked so hard to get to that point and it all came together and we were like,'Yes'", she added.

During their last tour in 2009, Girls Aloud supported Coldplay and Jay-Z twice at Wembley Stadium in London.
