Girls outperformed boys in the Andhra Pradesh State Board Secondary School Certificate examinations-2018, the results of which were released by HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao here today.
The overall pass percentage was 94.48, an increase of 2.56 per cent compared to 91.92 per cent last year, the Minister told reporters here.
The girls scored a pass percentage 94.56, while boys 94.41 per cent, he said.
Prakasam district topped with 97.98 percentage while Nellore district recorded the lowest at 80.39 percentage, Rao said.
A total of 6,13,378 students -- 3,15,508 boys and 2,97,870 girls -- appeared for the examinations held in March, he added.
