"BJP and Shiv Sena are issuing 'talaq' in the morning, but they are sure to get married again in the evening," Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala told reporters here.
"Give a solemn commitment to Mumbaikars of not joining hands post-elections to grab power and share spoils in the BMC," he added.
BJP and Shiv Sena are going solo in the BMC polls.
Hitting out at Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' billboard campaign 'It is my word', Surjewala said "his words are only false promises".
"Why audits of over Rs 1 lakh crore are still pending in the BMC," the spokesperson questioned.
He also slammed the Maharashtra government for "failing to appoint a Lokayukta despite over 4,500 pending cases".
