West Bengal Governor K N Tripathi today said that he has given "some suggestions" related to the Makra incident to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and expected the government to act on the same.
"I have sent some suggestions to the chief minister and I hope the government will take appropriate action into the matter," Tripathi told reporters.
Adding further, he said concerns of the people had been intimated to the Chief Minister.
A clash between Trinamool Congress and BJP supporters at Makra village in Birbhum district on Monday left three persons dead and as many injured.
Meanwhile, delivering his speech at a seminar on media, the Governor said the media was facing a credibility crisis but added that he was optimistic that it will remain firm and report news without any fear and compulsion.
