"China is one of India's foremost trading partners, with gem and jewellery exports from India to China recording an impressive figure of USD 91.04 million during January-November 2014.
"We are pleased to organise the third edition of India-China Coloured stone BSM in China. The last two editions, which were held in Jaipur, met with an astounding success and gave us insights to the enormous potential gemstones category possess," GJEPC Chairman Vipul Shah said in a release here today.
The buyer-seller meet is expected to witness participation of Indian companies, most of them from Jaipur, which is the global hub of gemstones housing manufacturing units.
As it is held for the first time in China, the Indian exhibitors expect more traders from across China to visit and take advantage of this summit.
"It is a unique opportunity for a cross section of select gemstones suppliers from India under one roof, which may not have been possible if the Chinese traders had come in their individual capacities to transact business. We hope this will go a long way in forging trade relations and see stronger business alliances established at this forum," Regional Chairman of the Indo China Coloured Gemstones Rajiv Jain added.
