The star, who is also excited for his new Hindi film "Dongri Ka Raja" alongside Ronit Roy, Ashmit Patel and Reecha Sinha, believes that Marathi films have always been good but the audience did not care to watch them earlier because of the lack of support from the people in the film industry.
"Marathi cinema is doing really well. And, it's a good sign that a lot of Marathi artistes are also coming to Bollywood.
The actor believes that had the directors and producers invested more on the content of the movies there, the Marathi film industry would have been equal to the cinema of South by now.
"I've been working in Marathi cinema for four-and-a-half years now.
