Glitz, glamour at NE fashion weekend

Top Bangladeshi designer Bibi Russel led a bevy of fashionistas from that country and India who showcased their exclusive works at the FBB Northeast India Fashion Weekend here.
The two-day event last weekend had glitz and glamour written all over it. Designs made of Muga and Pat silk, traditional tribal attires of Assam and the other northeastern states stood out.
The brain behind the event was the designer trio of Prasantt Ghosh, Dipankar Kashyap and Sanjay Choudhury. Their aim was to unite the industry and showcasing the region's best and latest fashion.
Besides Russel, other top designers to display their exclusive designs were Suvagata Saha, Tejas Gandhi and Azam Khan.

The organisers - Ghosh, Kashyap and Choudhury who are well known designers in their own rights - also showcased their unique collections.
Top models as well as Assamese film celebrities walked the ramp.
