Marketmen said traders raising of bets by traders, driven by a firm global trend, mainly led to rise in soybean prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean delivery for delivery in January gained Rs 32 or 1.07 per cent to Rs 3,024 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,30,110 lots.
In a similar fashion, soybean for delivery in February month contracts was trading higher by Rs 31 or 1.02 per cent to Rs 3,074 per quintal, in an open interest of 56,060 lots.
