At its 96th Board meeting held here today, the authority approved the payment of 64.7 per cent hiked payment as per High Ccourt directions to farmers of 29 villages putting an additional burden of Rs 490 crores on it.
GNIDA Chairman and CEO Rama Raman said, "Farmers from whom land was acquired under direct purchase system for community facilicities will also get the hiked compensation."
GNIDA has also identified site for development of 400 KV sub station and land for development of solar plant, he said, adding that GNIDA board has given approval for setting up of tool room for tiny, small and medium industries.
For the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project, an MoU was signed between state and Centre, under which an Integrated Industrial Township will be developed in Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad region, he said.
DMIC trust and GNIDA will have 50:50 participation for which a Special Purpose Vehicle will be constituted.
For farmers of Greater Noida villages, agriculture-based projects, dairy and animal husbandry projects have been approved by the board, the CEO said.
