A committee appointed by the Goa Legislative Assembly has found some evidence of links between the drug mafia in the coastal state and the politicians.
The committee was appointed to probe alleged nexus between the drug mafia, politicians and the police. Its report is awaited.
"I don't want to make any statement before I table the report, but there is involvement, I don't deny it," said MLA Francisco Miccky Pacheco, who heads the committee.
The report would be tabled during the Assembly session in October, he said.
Responding to another question, Pacheco said the involvement of politicians that came to light was "serious".
The committee was formed last year after Swedish model Lucky Farmhouse and British national Fiona Mackeown alleged links between Roy, the son of the then Goa Home Minister Ravi Naik, and the drug mafia.
Pacheco also said that police did not cooperate with the committee. "I even told the Chief Minister that police were not giving the information," he said.
The committee took long to prepare the report because the allegations were serious and needed detailed investigation, he added.
