Goa has been selected by All India Football Federation (AIFF) as one of the probable venues, if India wins the bid to host the event.
The cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, approved a proposal which will grant the games exemption from entertainment and ticketing taxation.
The proposal guarantying security for the event, if it takes place here, was also passed in the cabinet.
Cabinet sources said India has chances of winning the bid for the U-17 World Cup 2017.
The cabinet decision today is expected to further confirm the probability of Goa hosting few games of the event, a senior minister said.
Earlier this year, FIFA's vice-president Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein had backed India's bid to host the 2017 FIFA Under-17 World Cup, saying the country was crucial for the overall development of the game in the continent.
