Goa Carbon resumes operations at Bilaspur plant

Goa Carbon today said work has resumed from yesterday at its Bilaspur plant, Chhattisgarh, after a brief shut down for routine maintenance.
"With reference to the earlier announcement...About temporary shut down for maintenance work at company's Bilaspur plant located at 34-40, Sector B, Sirgitti Industrial Area, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), we wish to inform that operations at the said unit have resumed yesterday, May 25," the company said in a filing to the BSE.
There would not be any financial impact due to the shut down as there is sufficient inventory to service the orders in hand, it added.
Goa Carbon Ltd is in the business of manufacture and marketing of Calcined Petroleum Coke.
The company is a regular supplier to aluminium smelters, graphite electrode and Titanium Dioxide manufacturers, as well as other users in the metallurgical and chemical industries.
Shares of the company today ended higher by 5.16 per cent at Rs 141.75 apiece on BSE.
