Parrikar last month had asked legislators to refrain from making statements against police officers in the drug-related cases, and instead give police any useful information they have.
"The Congress Legislative Party (CLP) has decided to provide full support to the state government to curb this menace. We all need to be united in this matter," Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Chandrakant Kavlekar said.
He was speaking after chairing a CLP meeting.
The CLP, however, was unhappy over the BJP-led government's failure to crack down effectively on the drug mafia operating in Goa, he said.
