Goa Forward Party today said the first list of its 20 candidates for the state Assembly polls, to he held next year, would be declared by mid-October.
"We will decide and announce the list of 20 candidates who will be contesting on Goa Forward Party ticket during end of September or mid of October. We have already begun campaigning across the state," party chief Prabhakar Timblo said here.
The candidates for rest of the constituencies would be announced by the end of November, he said.
The party, which was recognised by Election Commission of India this month, has said that their main agenda would be to focus on development of every Goan.
"As Goa approaches the 2017 elections, the top most priority of Goa Forward is to sensitise Goans on the threats to Goa, Goans and Goemkarponn (Goan identity)," Timblo said.
He alleged, "Some independent legislators raised these issues during the recent Assembly session, but the government is totally deaf and blind to the interests of Goa."

"The manner in which a full debate was not allowed on critical issues is murder of democracy and betrayal by the Assembly," Timblo alleged, adding, "Goa Forward will take all these issues to the people in each and every constituency and also expose the farce in the name of Assembly."
About the party's agenda, he said, "Goa Forward Party is committed to provide to Goans its staple food items at subsidised prices and will work out rational and viable schemes in consultation with stakeholders."
"Any political party which cannot control prices of these commodities has no business to be in power," Timblo claimed.
