Goa government will notify its land use plan (Regional Plan 2021) in a phased manner beginning from remote Sattari and Pernem talukas, deputy chief minister Francis D'Souza said here today.
The State Level Steering Committee (SLSC) headed by D'Souza met here yesterday to decide on notifying the land use plan in two talukas of Pernem and Sattari, both in the North districts of the state.
"The plan would be notified in these talukas in July this year. After that it would be rolled out in a phased manner in other talukas," D'Souza said.
The next meeting of SLSC scheduled on May 11 this year will discuss details about the notification of the plan, which will decide the use of land in the state.
A total of 5,940 suggestions and objections were received by the state government when draft land use plan was kept for public viewing across the state.
D'Souza said Pernem and Sattari talukas had minimum suggestions and objections due to which it would be notified in the first phase.
