The Investment Promotion Board of Goa today withdrew approvals granted to 13 proposals as these fall in the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ).
The Board, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, today decided not to grant permission for the projects falling in the CRZ.
"It has been decided to withdraw permission granted to 13 projects as they fall in CRZ. The board had granted in-principle approval for them which stands withdrawn," a senior official attached to the Investment Promotion Board (IPB) told reporters today.
The list includes the state governments ropeway project across river Mandovi connecting Panaji to neighbouring Reis Magos.
Among the 13 proposals whose permissions are withdrawn by the IPB also includes marina, a facility proposed by M/s Yacht Heaven Private Limited.
The marina proposal had met with the stringent opposition from the fishermen at Sancoale, 10 kms away from here, the official said.
He said that the Mini India Park which was proposed at Cavelossim in South Goa is also in the list of the projects whose permission was withdrawn today by IPB.
The official said that all these 13 proposals will now have to be routed through the Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce to the state government for a decision.
