"State-run Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) has approved the project, which will be taken up at Benaulim on public private partnership (PPP) basis," Chairman of the corporation Dr Pramod Sawant told reporters.
The GSIDC board, which met on Tuesday, gave its nod for the project, which will be spread over 10 acres.
"It would be aquamarine amusement park, the first of its kind in the state," Sawant said.
The corporation has already set the ball rolling and is scouting for a private firm to partner in this project, wherein Goa government will also get the share of the revenue.
"The aquamarine project will have space for workshops, conference halls, open spaces for events and also a restaurant. A laboratory for research is also expected to be set up along with quarantine facility," he said.
