Extensive security arrangements have been planned by the Goa police to safeguard visiting players, international delegates from 12 Lusophone countries, officials and spectators.
There have been arrangements made for spectators at all venues where the events will be held.
A detailed spectators' guide has been created for spectators which is available on the Lusofonia Games web portal.
Goa will host the Portuguese Commonwealth Games in nine disciplines, in which 12 Lusophone countries would participate.
The 3rd Lusofonia Games will be held over a period of 12 days from January 18 to January 29, 2014 and would see participation by over 1500 athletes and officials from these 12 nations.
