Land use plan, commonly known as Regional Plan (RP) 2021, envisages a roadmap to regulate development in the tourist State. The Government has put up the plan for accepting objections and suggestions till January 18.
"Talukas where there are not many objections, we can go ahead with the formation of the plan on priority," Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar told reporters after chairing a meeting on the issue here.
BJP legislator Michael Lobo, emerging from the meet, told reporters the plan should be implemented taluka-wise.
The Town and Country Planning Department has till now has received 1,600 suggestions, objections and comments from the people, institutions and NGOs on the plan.
